Composition: Core of relatively rigid foam covered with cloth.

This flexible tanto allows safe full practice of knife techniques against bare hands and issued in a large number of Taihojutsu schools that integrate tanto dori (Aikido, Judo, Self Defense, etc.). A band of synthetic leather symbolizing the knife blade is sewn on the solid black cotton cover. This model has to be held on the opposite side of the synthetic leather reinforcement. The same model is used in Shodokan Aikido.
